President Donald Trump has announced that Venezuela will be “turning over” approximately $2 billion worth of crude oil from Venezuela to the US. This major agreement would divert supplies originally destined for China while allowing Venezuela avoid deeper oil production cuts.

“This Oil will be sold at its Market Price, and that proceeds will be controlled by me, as President of the United States of America, to make certain it is used to help the population of Venezuela and the United States!” Trump proclaimed in an social media post.
