Trump Invites Families of Shot Military Soldiers to the Presidential Residence
President Trump announced on the weekend that he has invited the loved ones of a National Guard member tragically killed last week to come to the executive mansion.
He added that he contacted her parents and they were “deeply grieving”.

Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, 20, was fatally shot in a shooting on Wednesday in the nation's capital.
Her comrade, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, continues receiving treatment in grave state.
Vigils across West Virginia have occurred in their memory.
White House Offer
The president stated he’s talked about a White House visit for the families of both members of the state Guard.
“I told them: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a difficult moment, visit the White House. We’re going to recognize Sarah,” Trump told reporters. “And similarly with Andrew, recover or not.”

Mourners gathered over the past few days at Webster County high school in the state to pay respects to Sarah.
Both they had been serving with the military unit as part of Trump’s national effort to assist public safety in Washington DC.

“She was the kind of student that instructors wished for. She behaved with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a upbeat demeanor that inspired those around her,” the principal, the head of Beckstrom’s previous school, informed the press. “She was kind, compassionate and always eager to assist people.”
Service arrangements for Sarah are in the process of planning.

Authorities have accused a twenty-nine-year-old suspect with one count of homicide and charges of attempted murder while armed.
The event led the Trump administration to halt asylum applications and cease providing visas to possessors of passports from Afghanistan.
Condition of Wolfe
The airman, a native of Martinsburg, enlisted in early 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman high school, according to the news agency.
He remains under medical supervision and is “fighting for his life”, the state’s governor the governor said on a news program.
