The Streaming Giant Chooses Ideal Star for Bentham in One Piece Season 3
The Secret Organization is poised to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until the third season, and a cherished, popular member has now been chosen.
The platform declared Tuesday that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will portray Bentham. The role can use their power to change into an exact copy of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their right hand. The performer, who is identifies as non-binary and goes by they/them, will depict a rendition of that role re-envisioned as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, differing from the source material and anime.
The new cast member will work alongside multiple recently announced actors tasked with bringing the organization to the screen, featuring chief Mr. 0, played by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and a familiar face, who is also part of the cast as the monarch of the desert kingdom.
Though Bon Clay is a major member of the group, the persona will be introduced in One Piece season 3. Given the second season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this represents a significant shift in the placement of their first appearance, one that could indicate additional alterations to the story’s structure.
The actor’s combination of precise humor and profound feeling makes them a ideal selection for the character. Besides their current animated role in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece series is set to return for its season two on March 10th, 2026.
