Loyal fans of the pop star are calling for that a man who breached a barricade and touched the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or removed from Singapore.

A circulating clip depicts the individual from Australia pushing past photographers and lunging at Grande while the cast made its way down a event pathway flanked by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "released after being arrested", though court documents indicated that he was due to appear on the following morning. It is uncertain if he was charged.

History of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account includes recordings of him interrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last winter.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is evidently a legal violation," commented an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Fans Voice Worry Over Ariana's Well-being

Several supporters blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the end of her May 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented one more message on Instagram.

A number of supporters also questioned security officers at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while some requested online networks to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Event Details

In footage shared widely, Grande appeared shocked when she was approached by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Many of supporters had gathered in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore venue, including several who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The movie, to be launched on November 21, is the sequel of a two-film version of the well-known Broadway and West End show Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely friendship between two contrasting witches.

The production itself is a spin-off of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful film of last year in the UK, and earned a dozen Academy Award nods, securing several for excellent wardrobe and production design.
