In Russia's border region of the Belgorod region, a lorry operator was killed by a Ukrainian strike, as stated by municipal sources.
Power Recovery Operations in the Capital
Operations proceeded on Saturday to recover electricity in Kyiv, after strikes by Moscow.
Electricity had been returned to in excess of 800,000 residents by Saturday and the biggest utility provider stated the main efforts to recover electricity was finished though some outages continued.
Air Defence Actions and Drone Downings
The Ukrainian defense forces neutralized 54 out of 78 enemy drones sent against the country in the dark hours, the air force announced on Saturday.
Russia's defence ministry claimed it shot down 42 Ukrainian drones over the country's airspace.
Cuban Government Refutes Claims of Sending Troops to Ukraine
The Cuban government on Saturday refuted American claims it has deployed troops to engage in the Ukraine war, while affirming the government "are without exact details about Cuban nationals" involved "on their own" or "as part of the armed units of both sides".
The ministry in Havana stated 26 nationals had been convicted to prison terms from five to 14 years for mercenary activity since the autumn of 2023 when reports emerged of Cubans being dispatched to the frontlines in Ukraine.

The surrender initiative, a state initiative that promotes opposing fighters to surrender, stated in May: "We reliably know the names and personal details of over a thousand Cuban nationals who enlisted with the Moscow's troops in recently."
The government in Havana commented of Cubans who might be engaged: "Undeniably that none of them have the backing, dedication, or consent of the Cuban state for their activities."
Kin of Cuban nationals who traveled to Russia in 2023 told news outlets at the time that their relatives had been misled into enlisting through ads on social media.
